Hung Hing Achieves ‘ON-DEMAND’ Printing with the Latest Komori Press

The Hung Hing Printing Group continues to pioneer new technologies in the industry.

The Hung Hing Printing Group continues to pioneer new technologies in the industry. After its successful implementation of the state-of-the-art digital post-press machines such as the Highcon Euclid III and Scodix Ultra Pro Digital Press, the Group invested in its first Hybrid UV press, the Komori H-UV Lithrone GX40RP double sided printing press. The 8-color press was installed in its Heshan Printing facility in July 2017 and prints 8-up A4 imposition with CMS color control bar. The unique feature of the press is its ability to deliver high quality, short turnaround, high speed stability and reduced waste in double-sided printing. The press is designed to expand the “On Demand” printing capabilities. Equipped with the H-UV curing system, the press achieves powderless and instant drying. In comparison to traditional double-sided printing press, the Komori H-UV lamp provides instant drying of the side printed first, making impression cylinder jackets on the downstream printing units unnecessary and realizing print quality with virtually no front/back difference. Suitable for short runs and quick turnaround, this new capability will offer our customers with more options on their print and publishing requirements.
