Hung Hing wins IDC Digital Transformation Award Two Years in a Row

We are very pleased to announce that Hung Hing has won the award 2019 Operating Model Master for Hong Kong in this year’s IDC Digital Transformation Awards (DX Awards).

We are very pleased to announce that Hung Hing has won the award 2019 Operating Model Master for Hong Kong in this year’s IDC Digital Transformation Awards (DX Awards).  The awards is organized by the International Data Corporation (IDC) by IDC Hong Kong and now on its third year.

IDC’s DX Awards recognizes outstanding organizations that have made critical breakthroughs in digital transformation across the Asia Pacific region, spread across seven different categories.

Our digital transformation project, Smart Planning, was selected among over 1,000 high-quality entries received from end-user organizations across Asia/Pacific.

Smart Planning is an Industry 4.0 business solution created to optimize machine utilization, enhance overall productivity and increase transparency by transforming and simplifying the way manufacturers plan, schedule, dispatch, execute and monitor performance. This multi-module solution combines with traditional ERP system, enabling digital practices of smart factory to deliver real business value and results.

IDC’s DX Awards follows a two-phased approach to determine the country and regional winners. Each nomination is evaluated by local and regional IDC analysts against a standard assessment framework based on IDC’s DX taxonomy.

This initial win qualifies us as one of IDC’s finalists for the regional awards which will be held in Singapore on October 23-24. We will be benchmarked against other winners in the same category from 10 other countries to ultimately determine the region’s best of the best, which will be decided by a regional panel of judges comprised of IDC Worldwide analysts, industry thought leaders, and academia.

“Successful companies understand the need to innovate and reinvent themselves so that it is possible to keep up with competition, market changes, and customer expectations. Every so often, by taking a fresh look at an old problem, thinking big and solving it with new technologies is just what it takes to spark innovation. Smart Planning falls into that category to give the company a competitive edge. Thank you IDC and the esteemed judging panel for selecting us, as well as everyone involved. Innovation has been and always will be the catalyst to fuel economic and business growth. We have barely scratched the surface in unlocking opportunities and value from digital possibilities that were previously thought to be inconceivable. As the theme of this year’s awards so inspiringly suggests, the future is unwritten. It is up to us to define it, the best is yet to come.”, said Mr. Yee Yu, Chief Information officer, Hung Hing Printing Group Limited.

Winning in consecutive years in a rare feat. For the second time in two years, Hung Hing is being recognized by IDC for the company’s digital vision, determination and successfully carrying out it digital transformation journey in Asia/Pacific region. Last year, Mr. Yee Yu, our CIO was named the IDC 2018 DX Leader for Hong Kong
