Two of BelugaBloo’s popular apps – The Pig’s Day and The Birth of Baby Jesus – reached the #11 and #12 spots respectively in the U.S. Apple App Store on June 7.

An adaptation from its award-winning printed children book of the same title – In a little village east of Rome, Italy, a tradition passed down for generations continues to be celebrated. One day Sante does to visit his relatives to take part in the traditional winter feast on their farm. Yet after learning more about the ritual and hearing from his animal friends that Pig will become the main course, Sante wants to make some changes.

The Birth of Baby Jesus

It is with great pleasure that we like to congratulate L. Sue Baugh and Lynn Martinelli on the recent success of their book – Echoes of the Earth.  We just learned that their book has already won numerous awards this year, including the Nautilus Award for Photography/Art, Indie Gold Award for Science/Nature/Environment, Benjamin Franklin Gold Award for Nature/Environment and Benjamin Franklin Silver Award for Coffee Table Books and Gift Books.

Printed and bounded by Hung Hing and first published in 2012, this book took the authors 10 years to complete.  It documents their remarkable journey that covered 54,000 miles of travelling in remote regions in Western Australia, Greenland, northwest Canada, and the United States.

In putting this book together, the authors have turned to Hung Hing to help convey their extraordinary journey. This book recounts their experience through absolutely beautiful photographs, vivid description from their writing, and accentuated by special foldouts, half-pages, cut-outs and more.  Another important reason the authors chose to work with Hung Hing to produce their book is because of our reputation for eco-friendly practices, high-quality printing and ability to meet their special needs.  We are all very proud to be part of the team to make this happen. Our popular educational series My 1^st Steps Preschool Early Learning has extended its success from previous week.  Another two apps from the series have also made the U.S. Top Chart.  Counting Numbers and Baby Book reached #15 and #28 spots respectively in the U.S. Apple App Store on May 31.  All four apps in the series are designed to introduce alphabets, colors, counting numbers to children through fun and educational games.

Two apps from our Store have made the Top 20 U.S. Chart. Alphabet Animals and Let’s Learn About Color reached #12 and #14 spots respectively in the U.S. Apple App Store on May 24.  Both apps are from the My 1st Steps Preschool Early Learning series to introduce alphabets, colors, counting numbers to children.

BelugaBloo has done it again!  For the second week in a row, our apps have made the Top 20 U.S. Chart.  A is for Apple – Shiny Sliders and The Drip Drops Coloring Party reached the #11 and #19 spots respectively in the U.S. Apple App Store on April 12.   Both apps have gathered several thousand downloads over the weekend.

A is for Apple – Shiny Sliders is based on a brightly-illustrated alphabetical shiny slider book by Flying Flog Publishing.  It teaches children to recognize their ABC’s with bright pictures, fun shiny sliders and the anticipation of what is hiding behind the panels. While providing hours of fun this interactive book teaches children letters, words, and picture recognition.

The Drip Drops Coloring Party is one of the six apps about six raindrops that slid down a rainbow into a colorless world and in the mission to turn the world into a colorful place.  The Drip Drop characters are created by TCKL Inc.  This interactive storybook follows the Drip Drops as they prepare to celebrate Color the World Day.  Children are sure to be entertained as they put together puzzles, match colors, create tunes on a keyboard, connect dots in a number sequence, and much, much more!

This is the highest daily ranking our apps have ever achieved with each gathered close to 4,000 downloads in a single day. Hung Hing was recently selected to receive the inaugural Top 10 Printers with Integrity Award (十大誠信印刷企業) sponsored by the Administration of Press and Publication of GuangDong Province (廣東省新聞出版局). Winners were selected from over 20,000 printers in the region by a panel of judges based on a number of attributes including companies’ reputation, ethical standard, social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and positive contribution to the region. The award was presented at the “The 20th Printing South China International Exhibition” (第二十屆華南國際印刷工業展覽會) in Guangzhou on March 3.
