Little Musician series recognized at HKICT Awards

The Little Musician series was among the winners to accept the Best Lifestyle Award (Learning & Living) in this year’s Hong Kong ICT Awards.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards (HKICTA) is a much celebrated annual event of the local information and communications technology (ICT) industry.  The awards aims to recognise and promote outstanding ICT inventions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among Hong Kong’s ICT talents and enterprises in their constant pursuit for creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs.

Winners for the awards were chosen by a panel formed by professionals from the ICT business sector and the social service sector.  Judging criteria are based on innovation and creativity, functionality, market potential/performance, benefits and impact and overall quality of the product.  The results were announced at the award presentation ceremony on April 7, 2014.

The Little Musician series is the first print-electronic product of its kind by Hung Hing and Beluga Ltd., created for one of the most recognizable name in the children music educational industry in Hong Kong, Yip’s Children’s Choral and Performing Arts Centre (YCCPAC).  The series has a total of five (5) products with each comes with a specially-made mobile app for iPad and iPad mini.   The product makes use of a revolutionary printing technique together with pattern recognition technology to enable a new way of learning for children.  This is the world’s first innovation to converge printing and touch screen device to enhance learning experience for music.
